Submission Guidelines:

  • Length: Reels must be between 30 seconds to 1 minute long.
  • Format: Submit your video in MP4 format.
  • Theme: See below Themes.

Themes for Reels Competiton

  • University Life: Showcase the ups and downs of being a student, including classes, study sessions, social events, and friendships.

  • Campus Views: Capture the beauty of your campus through scenic shots, highlighting favorite spots, architecture, and seasonal changes, labs, classes.

  • A Day in My Life: Create a reel that outlines your daily routine, from morning rituals to classes, meals, and extracurricular activities.

  • Study Tips & Hacks: Share creative and effective study techniques, organization strategies, or productivity hacks that help you succeed in your studies.

  • Student Adventures: Document fun outings or spontaneous adventures with friends, whether it’s exploring the city, attending events, or trying new activities together.

  • Choty Choty Rule Breakers: In this fun filled competition. Students will break little rules without being caught and film them. Rules for this competition: No disrespect should be shows towards faculty, staff or students. Students should strictly adhere to guidelines and rules of the University. 
  • Other: You may propose your own topic as well such as: (e.g., student life, textile innovations, cultural representation etc.)

Reels Competition Rules

 

  1. Eligibility:

    • Participants must be current students of National Textile University, Faisalabad.
    • Each participant can submit Maximum 5 entries.
    • Official Members of Kawish Magazine cannot enter any competition
  2. Theme:

    • The Reels should align with a specified theme (e.g., student life, textile innovations, cultural representation, etc.).
  3. Duration:

    • Each Reel must be between 30 to 60 seconds long.
  4. Content Guidelines:

    • Content must be original and created by the participant.
    • No explicit, offensive, or inappropriate content will be accepted.
    • Participants must ensure they have the right to use any music, visuals, or third-party content included in their Reels.
    • Reel should not have been published elsewhere
  5. Submission:

    • Reels must be submitted via designated platform Google Drive Link, with the specified hashtag.
    • Include participant’s name, student ID, and contact information in the submission.
  6. Judging Criteria:

    • Creativity and originality (30%)
    • Relevance to the theme (30%)
    • Technical quality (e.g., video clarity, sound quality) (20%)
    • Engagement at Kawish Platform (e.g., likes, shares, comments) (20%)
  7. Judging Panel:

    • A panel of judges will be selected from faculty, and industry professionals.
    • Judges’ decisions will be final.
  8. Timeline:

    • Last date for submission for Phase-1 2024 competitions is November-2024.
    • Winners will be announced within one month.
  9. Prizes:

    • 1st winner will be given cash prize of Rs. 3000, featured in magazine with certificate. 
    • All participants will be awarded certificates.
  10. Rights and Permissions:

    • By entering the competition, participants grant the Society of Student Magazine ‘Kawish’ the right to use their Reels.
  11. Disqualification:

    • Any entries that do not comply with these rules will be disqualified.
    • Participants found to have plagiarized or used copyrighted material without permission will be disqualified.
